THey say the older you get, the wiser you get. We all know this to be
a lie, we've all seen "old" people out there on the road (need I say more)
and we've heard "old" people say again and again, "I guess i forgot."
They repeat themselves, enjoy oatmeal, and their favorite game is golf... Ron,
I'm SOOO glad you're not turning "old." I like you just the way you are.
You always make me smile, and sometimes you even make me laugh. hehe.
Your one of the rare ones =) I hope your birthday was an awesome one...

What can I say but ... well, maybe I don't want to admit it, but yes, WE are
gettin' "just a little older" ... that's all there is to it! But we just might
be gettin' a little better too, huh, with age? giggles
Of course we are!! Got too many good years left to
even think about complaining yet ... Yes, Ron, that
means you too! Ron, you've seen me through some of it
all, you've laughed with me, you've cried with me, you've
made me see strength within myself when I thought
there was none. So many times you've made me feel like I was
conquering the "impossible". Ron, with your kind words,
your soft smiles, your gentle hugs and your hearty "hehehe's"...
do you have ANY IDEA of the number of lives you've
touched since you've been on irc? ... people that have honestly
taken a second look at themselves, their situation
and have asked themselves, "hey, why not me?"
I've heard too many personal testimonies of the way you've
dealt with people Ron, all ages, all types, all walks of life.
Keep it up Ron ... the world is a much better place
because you're in it! And you'll ALWAYS be a part of
my world Ron, always!!!

I am truly flattered by all the kind comments here, the emails,
the graphics, the phone calls, and all the nice words in the room
about my 65th birthday. A person of any age can be lonely.
Unfortunately, the older you get, the more this seems to be
true. It really is true that the nicest gift you can give most
older people is your time. I truly want to thank every person
who took time to make my birthday special. It made me feel so
good to feel that each of you wrote to me and about me as a
friend rather than a few words to make an old man feel good. At
this point in my life, about all I have to give are my thoughts
and ideas to help others through some of life's challenges. My
life has been filled with challenges and accomplishments; perhaps
that is what wisdom is all about. In return, each of you gives
me an opportunity to keep my mind from growing old and stale, and
I am never old or alone in the irc world. All the money in the
world couldn't buy the love and compassion we have for each other
in our special world. If you are smiling and feeling good about
yourself as you read this, you truly understand what I am saying
